About the Producer: A family heritage since 1779, the Domaine de la Meulière is today run by the brothers Nicolas and Vincent Laroche. Located in Fleys, a village 2.5 miles from Chablis, the property covers 25 hectares. The geology is characterized by clay-limestone Kimmeridgian soil. The alchemy of this terroir with the Chardonnay grape gives the wines minerality, power, floral and fruity aromas. Half of the 34 plots that make up the propriety are spread over the municipalities of Béru, Chablis, Chichée, Fontenay and Fleys. The average age of the vines is 32 years. All are harvested manually to ensure the absence of trituration, to avoid oxidation of the musts and to carry out rigorous sorting. The estate is certified in High Environmental Value level 3 and is a member of the national confederation of independent winegrowers.
