About the Producer:

Five generations have marked the history of this family Domaine.

In 1870, the property acquired by the great-great-grandmother of Stéphanie Francisco, currently manager, had only 3 hectares of vines, 3 hectares of mixed farming and 12 hectares of woods.

Half a century later, 6 hectares of vines are planted following the abandonment of a few less profitable hectares of mixed farming. The vat room was enlarged and the first barrels were purchased.

In 1956, frost destroyed half of the vineyard. The Francisco Family bounced back and replanted the frozen plots. Raymonde and Joseph Francisco, the 3rd generation, then bought twenty hectares on the best location of the village.

In the 1980's, Jean and Marie-Claude, the 4th generation, took helm of the operation, and reinvested in the vineyard to improve the wine making facilities.

In 2016, Jean entrusted the management of the family property to his daughter Stéphanie and the position of crop manager to his nephew Claude. The young generation brings a fragrance of renewal to the property, without denying the essential values of the family around respect for the land and constant concern for quality.

Today, the Château de la Croix extends over more than 31 hectares of vines

And the story continues ...
